Republic of Ireland (Éire)
Due to the extent of my travels around Ireland, this section has been split by county.

Country Dublin

Dublin City
Dublin is a vibrant and bustling capital city. If you look past the often ugly mis-match of architure (with the exception of the grand Georgian buildings), and sometimes grimy streets, you find a city with a soul like no other. People are the most important thing in Dubin, and being in Dublin is all about the good times or 'craic'.
Dublin City is my current home.

Howth
The Howth Peninsula is located at the northern end of Dublin Bay, and the town is a popular excursion from Dublin City. The Hill of Howth provides great views over Dublin bay, and Ireland's Eye, a small rocky island which is home to many seabirds as well as seals.

County Wicklow
Wicklow is proof that there can be dramatic landscapes on the eastern side of Ireland, and the Wicklow mountains are often visible from Dublin.

Glendalough
Glendalough (Gleann dá Loch, meaning 'Glen of the two lakes'), is an ancient monastic village located in a valley in the Wicklow mountains. A popular weekend retreat from Dublin city, being only an hour or so away, Glendalough is far from untouched, but still provides some enchanting scenery.

County Kilkenny
A farming county with attractive villages and monastic settlements.

Kilkenny City
A tiny city, with only 20,000 inhabitants, Kilkenny is a far away from the hustle and bustle of Dublin. It is an attractive city with a medieval past at which time it was intermittently the unofficial capitol of Ireland.

County Cork
The biggest county in Ireland, probably made most famous by the Blarney Stone. If you have a head for heights, legend says that kissing the stone will give you the 'gift of the gab'.

Cork City
The second largest city in the Republic of Ireland, after Dublin, Cork city is buzzing with events and entertainment.

County Kerry
Kerry, on the west coast of Ireland, boasts some of the countries most wild and rugged terrian. Ireland's highest mountain, Carrauntoohil (1039m) is located west of the town of Killarney.

Killarney
Killarney, the major town in the county, is certainly a popular tourist destination, and is home to the fantastic Killarney National Park.

Tralee
Tralee is a small town in Northern Kerry, at the start of the Dingle peninsula.

Dingle
Dingle is an attractive little port town, which, aside from tourists, has a large resident fishing fleet. The town is a great starting point for exploring the more rugged, untouched areas of the Dingle peninsula.
